  • Achievements: 1st Place in the Carolo Cup competition
  • Languages: C++ in the final implementation. Prototyping in Python.
  • Libraries and Frameworks:
  • Computer-Vision (CV), Machine Learning (ML)
    • Deep Learning based Lane Detection and Object Detection: management and automation of the team’s whole ML pipeline (incl. training data collection techniques, data preprocessing, model training, model evaluation, increasing the inference speed on the team’s hardware using CUDA/TensorRT, etc.).
    • Applying classical CV methods (eg. Hough Line Transform, Harris Corner Detection, Canny Edge Detection, Thresholding, etc.) to detect objects and various kinds of road markings.
  • Software Project Management:
    • GitLab (Merging pull requests, Assigning issues/feature requests to team members)
    • Documentation (Doxygen, Docusaurus, GitLab Wiki, READMEs).
  • Recruiting and Technical Training of new Team Members.
  • Qt5 GUI development: for ROS2 Parameter tuning.
  • Gazebo (3D robotics simulator), Blender
    • creating multiple simulation environments with Blender models according to the requirements/scenarios of the upcoming competitions (eg. Carolo Cup).
    • writing testing code for each traffic scenario in ROS2 (C++ and Python)
